Description

Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Ice Cream is a rich, creamy frozen dessert blending sweet, salty caramel and nutty peanut butter flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup or honey

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and water. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens and turns a golden caramel color. Remove from heat and carefully whisk in heavy cream, sea salt, vanilla extract, and corn syrup or honey. Let the caramel cool slightly while preparing the ice cream base.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, and peanut butter until fully combined and smooth. Add the cooled salted caramel sauce and fold gently to create a marbled effect without fully mixing.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to ensure a smooth texture when churned.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn following the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20-25 minutes, until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours to fully set before serving.
