- 1 (16-ounce) package thawed phyllo dough
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 and 1/2 cups Nutella hazelnut spread
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the phyllo dough: Roll out the phyllo dough on a large work surface. Cut to fit a 9×13-inch baking dish and cover with a damp cloth while assembling.
- Melt the butter and Nutella: Melt the butter and Nutella in separate microwave-safe bowls.
- Butter the baking dish: Generously butter the 9×13-inch baking dish with some of the melted butter.
- Assemble the baklava: Place 6 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with butter. Drizzle 1/2 cup of Nutella, sprinkle 1/3 cup chopped hazelnuts, and drizzle 1/4 cup honey over the layer. Repeat this process with another 6 sheets of phyllo, Nutella, hazelnuts, and honey.
- Top with remaining phyllo: Add the final phyllo layers, brush with butter, and cut the Nutella baklava into 12 squares, then diagonally into triangles.
- Bake the baklava: Brush with remaining butter, sprinkle the last of the hazelnuts, and bake for 30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Drizzle with honey: Immediately drizzle with remaining honey after removing from the oven. Allow to set for at least 2 hours.
- Drizzle with Nutella: Drizzle melted Nutella over the cooled heavenly Nutella baklava.
- Serve: Slice and serve this indulgent Nutella baklava once cooled.
