Description

Crispy Cheesy Beef Taquitos: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1012 small flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and well combined.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a microwave or on a skillet for a few seconds to make them pliable.
  5. Place a few tablespoons of the beef and cheese mixture on each tortilla. Roll tightly, securing the filling inside.
  6. In a large frying pan, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  7. Carefully place the rolled taquitos seam side down in the hot oil. Fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove the taquitos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. Continue frying the remaining taquitos until all are cooked.
  10. Enjoy your crispy taquitos with your favorite dips!

Notes

  • Allow the oil to heat properly for crispy results.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
