Description

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
  • Fresh berries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with flour.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Melt in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until well combined and slightly thickened.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  5. Gently fold in the flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until just combined.
  6. Evenly divide the batter among the prepared ramekins.
  7. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the ramekins for about 5 minutes.
  9. Carefully run a knife around the edges of each cake and invert onto individual plates.
