Description

Cheesy Jalapeno Ranch Chicken Poppers are a delicious snack packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup chopped fresh jalapeños (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you plan to bake the poppers.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, add breadcrumbs. Set aside for coating the poppers.
  4. Take a small amount of the chicken mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  5. Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  6. Place the coated poppers on a greased baking sheet or a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. If you prefer a fried version, heat oil in a deep pan and fry the poppers until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  9. If frying, place the cooked poppers on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  10. Let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving.
