Cheesy Jalapeno Ranch Chicken Poppers are a delicious snack packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup chopped fresh jalapeños (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you plan to bake the poppers.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, add breadcrumbs. Set aside for coating the poppers.
- Take a small amount of the chicken mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
- Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Place the coated poppers on a greased baking sheet or a parchment-lined tray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- If you prefer a fried version, heat oil in a deep pan and fry the poppers until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- If frying, place the cooked poppers on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Adjust jalapeño quantity to control spice level.
