A warm and comforting apple and boysenberry cobbler with tender fruit and a lightly spiced oat topping that bakes up soft, golden, and irresistible.

- ½ cup self-raising flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup milk
- 50g butter, melted
- 2 apples, thinly sliced
- 1 can boysenberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C fan bake.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-raising flour, rolled oats, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add the milk and melted butter and stir until just combined into a thick batter.
- Place the sliced apples into a baking dish.
- Drain about half of the liquid from the boysenberries and add the berries and remaining juice to the apples. Stir gently to combine.
- Spoon the batter evenly over the fruit, gently spreading it to cover the top.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
