Description
This Air Fryer Pineapple recipe delivers a quick, juicy, and perfectly caramelized tropical treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ripe fresh pineapple (about 3 to 4 cups, cut into 1/2 inch rings or chunks)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Remove the skin and slice the pineapple into rings or chunks about 1/2 inch thick to ensure even cooking.
- In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and lime juice. Toss the pineapple pieces with olive oil or melted butter, then evenly sprinkle the sugar mixture over the fruit, coating each piece well.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes. This helps the pineapple caramelize properly when placed inside.
- Arrange pineapple slices or chunks in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through carefully with tongs to ensure even caramelization on all sides.
- Remove the golden, lightly charred pineapple from the air fryer and serve warm for optimal flavor and texture.
Notes
- Customize with spices, herbs, or sweeteners.
- Ideal as a healthy snack, dessert, or flavorful side dish.
- Perfect all year round.
